BLAST, Inc., specialized in a wide range of services spanning from CG & special modeling to planning & development, introduced a 3D printer by Stratasys to become Japan’s first company to establish a commission-based business for 3D data & 3D modeling productions. It takes advantage of the Stratasys printer, which was used in the production of the Hollywood blockbuster.
An innovative application of 3D printer hitherto unavailable in existing 3D printing services
Based on more than 30 years of experience in special modeling, BLAST will make a difference from existing 3D output services by offering comprehensive production services, including figures made of FRP or metal, body suits, etc.
[1] Based on the 3D data of game characters, we create large-scale 3D models of the characters for event venues and entrances.
[2] From 3DCG data, we produce character suits, weapons, props, etc. for photo-shooting with materials like FRP, resin, metal, rubber, etc.
[3] We convert mobile gimmicks and coordinated mechanisms created on 3DCG into Animatronic guns and robots incorporating motors and cylinders.
[4] We replace materials used for printout with different materials. Mass production orders by converting miniatures for display into mass products are now available.
BLAST has an in-house special modeling unit & a CG/VFX unit. Our strength in offering 3D printing service lies in our ability to prepare the output data at our CG/VFX unit & to brush up the output & improve materials at the special modeling unit, which is unique from any other businesses in the visual art industry.
