\nPolar Bear Family from BLAST’s “Animals As Art” at Nihombashi Takashimaya Store, an outlet of a leading department store chain,
\nTakashimaya Company, Limited, as a part of their Christmas decoration.
\nThe bears remain on display from November 15 (Wed) through Christmas Day on December 25 (Mon).<\/p>\n

“Animals As Art” is a life-sized artistic animal model series, crystalizing the best of contemporary modeling art techniques.
\nInstead of traditional animal-stuffing, the studio makes full use of modeling materials to bring about the animals’ precise appearance, texture, and lifelikeness.
\nThe first of the lineup, the sleeping figures of a polar bear mother & her cub, give viewers the sensation that the actual sleeping bears are right in front of their eyes.<\/p>\n

The polar bear family can be found at the foot of the Christmas tree, which stands right in front of the central entrance
\nat the 1st floor of Nihombashi Takashimaya Store.
\nThe presence of the polar bear family further elevates the sense of luxury in the glittering Christmas decoration.<\/p>\n

The display offers a rare opportunity to have a close look at Animals As Art, while it is not available for touching & feeling.
