Zeppet handled the renewal of the animatronic characters installed at Omiya Rakuun in Omiya, Saitama Prefecture.

The project involved renewing “Rakujii,” a talking tree animatronic, and newly creating three birds — “Ruby,” “Pecol,” and “Lulu” — that perch on Rakujii’s branches. The animatronics regularly perform speech and chorus routines.

Originally, only Rakujii existed as a single unit, and had developed malfunctions over the years. Zeppet improved and renewed the character, and additionally created the three new bird characters to interact with Rakujii.

To commemorate the renewal, a public naming event was held, and the characters’ current names were decided through that process.
